I can sum it all up in one line– all toppers are hardworking and disciplined. Yes, that’s right! But if you want to know how exactly they do this, well here are a to give you a few quick pointers:

      1. Get organized and make plans
      2. Avoid multitasking, while studying…it needs your full concentration
      3. Get enough sleep and rest, because a healthy, well-rested body leads to a well-functioning mind
      4. Schedule your work, make timetables
      5. Take regular notes
      6. Find a study group, makes it a lot more interesting
      7. Ask questions, clarify doubts, never delay

Just following the above suggestions can definitely help you amp up your grades at school!

In the race to score good marks, students often look up to short cuts. But believe me, there are no short cuts. You should put your best to score well in the exams. For preparing yourself in the right way, keep some points in your mind.

      1. Start Your preparation before time – Its always best to start the race as early as possible.
      2. Self-discipline – You are at that stage of life where you should have self-control and you should be self-disciplined to get a good result.
      3. Proper Planning – Always plan your day in advance, you should know one day before which topic or subject you are going to study tomorrow.
      4. Time Management – Keep track of your time. what you do in a day, how time you took to study one subject, how many hours you devoted to solving the sample questions of that topic. You should give importance to the quality of your study you are doing every day.
      5. Understand rather than memorizing – understand more, memorize less. Mugging will surely keep concepts fresh in your mind, but you will never understand it properly – where to apply and when to apply it. So, it makes no sense to study that concept when you don’t understand a particular concept.
      6. Test your preparation – You should test your preparation regularly to stay up to date with the concepts and topics you study. Remember, nobody is born topper, it is only through constant practice and revision you achieve that crucial position.
      7. Solve previous question papers – You should solve previous year questions papers each day. Solving papers improve your problem-solving speed and accuracy.
      8. Regular revision – Students tend to forget the concepts because they don’t use it in everyday life. One of the best ways to keep them fresh in your mind, according to toppers is regular revision.
      9. Be confident – Lastly, be confident about your preparation.

Wanna be the class topper? Well, I once was….and here’s what I suggest:

First and foremost, try to change the way you study.
Ask yourself what am I missing?
Do I study the right way?
Your study space should be quiet, comfortable and distraction-free. It should make you feel happy and inspired.

Avoid Cramming in the last minute. This overloads your brain. Study a bit every day, as this will help you understand and absorb your lessons better.

Set alarms, timetables, schedules to remind you about your study plans. A regular reminder keeps you honest and your plans on track.

Discover your learning style -.Some of us learn better by seeing, some of us by listening, and some others by doing. Find out what kind of learner are you.

If you’re stuck on something, or something just doesn’t seem to make sense, make sure you ask for clarification or help.

Keep your motivation up all the time, by keeping in mind goals and rewards.

Now, saving the best for the last, “Take the much needed break” in between lessons, as they would help refresh your mind!

      Some tips are:
      1. Set a specific goal for each session
      2. Create a study plan and stick on it
      3. Always take small breaks
      4. Never stretch your study hours until you feel exhausted
      5. Never put your study session for the future.
      6.Build your own study notes
      7. Revise the topic at regular intervals
      8. Find time for relaxation
      9. Sleep well

Yes. they do have many. Few are listed below.

      1. Self discipline : They are always disciplined with respect to study time and eating habits. they will start preparing months ahead before the exams and skip all kind of junk foods.
      2. They keep themselves healthy and fit in all means – both physically and mentally so that it will help them to focus on studies.
      3. They will teach others whenever they get some time extra, which will help them in revising and saves revision times.
      4. They create mind maps and short notes for all they study and use if for revisions; which saves days of time for them.
      5. Most importantly , they never complain that they didn’t finish studying, they will always try to study as much as they can with a positive mindset.

      Regards

      Roopesh salian.

Everyone can excell and top any field if they are passionate about it.

I had won Gold medal for a course on specialization in Child guidance and family counselling. I can tell how i used to study

      1. Always remember to give time for self study before an exam

      2. Make  pointers, charts , or small flowcharts for attempting long answers 3. While reading the text – make sure you dont restrict yourself to one journal or books gather as much information as you can

4 If you find reading a book boring …can pursue other option like going for online classes or video classes or private coaching or clasess

      5. Everyday do that something you like the most or we say hobby  eg i like getting connected to nature . So that when your are sitting to study your thoughts don’t wander about to the hobby

      6. Always give yourself small reinforcement eg. I use to find a chapter or least interesting I would give treats to myself  having  a candy or dancing for 15 mins or Clicking pictures etc .This will make you complete the task in no time. Make your own liking list out give a most liking option to least interesting chapter.

Hope this is helpful for aspiring students of any field
