1. Biological engineering is the umbrella term for all engineering disciplines that are based on biology and allied sciences. Biomedical engineering and biotechnology are some of the common sub-disciplines under Bioengineering. Bio agriculture, on the other hand, is a practice of using environmentally friendly and natural processes for agriculture. There is no use of synthetic materials for pest control or for increasing crop productivity.
2. There are plenty of courses available at UG and PG level for Bioengineering. People who pursue a course in Biomedical engineering works for companies that manufacture medical equipment or any kind of healthcare accessories.
Vocational courses are offered in green farming and natural farming by Government bodies like the district agriculture office. Conventional degrees are available at a bachelor’s and master’s level for Agronomy, but there may not be specifically focussed on biofarming. National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM) is one of the most reputed colleges in India for courses related to agriculture, food processing, and technology.
