In India we have degrees such as Bachelors into hotel management, hospitality, culinary arts,catering technology etc which can pave one  towards the path  becoming bartender with or without training.

There are specific short term courses as well which will help one to get into this field like standard bar tending course,advanced professional bar-tending course, diploma in hotel management and bar tending,professional bar-tending and flairology course etc.

In abroad I guess there are bar-tending schools ,certification courses like servesave and tips .

One needs to know the age restriction policy, laws which are required to be followed before working on field like alcohol certification is required before getting on the floor in some countries.

The most important thing  to understand is that without proper knowledge of the field, skills of bar-tending and hospitality the individual may find it very challenging as theoretical knowledge and practical experience may vary.So one needs to be vigilant  in understanding the skills of bar tending and the challenges which he or she can be exposed to. If one has such  personality and passion then they can surely go ahead.
